Effective date: 29 June 2026
Last updated: 29 June 2026
Version: 1.0

In short

  • Kappino is a business (B2B) service. Subscription fees are charged in advance and are generally non-refundable.
  • You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, with no refund for the unused part.
  • Cancel before a free trial ends to avoid being charged.
  • We do correct genuine billing errors and duplicate charges, and we refund prepaid time if we discontinue the Service.
  • Under Swiss law there is no general statutory “cooling-off” refund right for online purchases.
1

Overview & scope

This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations are handled for paid subscriptions to the Kappino platform (the “Service”), operated by TechVerdi SA, Av. Charles-Ferdinand Ramuz 60, 1009 Pully, Switzerland (VAT/UID CHE-110-027.685). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions.

The Service is provided on a business-to-business (B2B) basis to professional users only. As a result, statutory consumer-protection rules and consumer rights of withdrawal do not apply. Nothing in this Policy limits any right you may have under mandatory Swiss law.

2

Subscription refunds

Subscription Fees are billed in advance for each billing period — monthly or annual — and on each automatic renewal.

2.1 General rule — non-refundable

Except where stated in this Policy or required by mandatory law, Fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for:

  • partial billing periods or time remaining after cancellation;
  • unused features, seats, or capacity;
  • periods during which you did not use the Service; or
  • downgrades made during a billing period.

2.2 When we do refund

We will provide a refund or credit in the following cases:

  • Service discontinuation. If we permanently discontinue the Service during a period you have prepaid, we refund the unused, prepaid portion on a pro-rata basis.
  • Billing errors / duplicate charges. We refund amounts charged in error.
  • Material, unresolved fault. Where the Service has a material defect that we fail to remedy within a reasonable time after you notify us, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with Swiss contract law, which may include a credit or partial refund.
  • Mandatory law. Any refund required by applicable mandatory law.

2.3 Goodwill refunds

We may, at our sole discretion, offer a goodwill refund or credit in individual cases. Doing so does not create an obligation to do so again and does not waive this Policy.

3

Cancellation process

How to cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us at office@techverdi.ch. Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal.

What happens next. Your Subscription remains active until the end of the current paid period and then expires; access ends at that point. As set out in Section 2, the remaining part of a paid period is not refunded.

Annual plans. Cancelling an annual plan stops renewal at the end of the annual term; it does not trigger a mid-term refund.

Your data. Please export any data you need before cancelling. After your Subscription ends, your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement — deleted within 30 days and removed from backups within the rolling backup cycle of up to 90 days — subject to statutory retention.

4

Trial period & free plan

Free trial. Where we offer a free trial, for example 15 days, no payment is taken to start it. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the Subscription converts to a paid plan and the first charge applies. To avoid being charged, cancel before the trial period ends.

No refund is due for the first paid period simply because a trial converted, provided the conversion terms were disclosed.

Free plan. Any free plan is provided at no cost and is therefore not subject to refunds. We may modify or discontinue a free plan at any time on reasonable notice.

Trial limits. We may limit trials to one per customer and may change or withdraw trial offers at any time.

5

Refund method & timing

Method. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the charge, unless that is not possible, in which case we agree an alternative with you.

Currency. Refunds are made in the currency of the original payment, normally Swiss Francs (CHF). We are not responsible for exchange-rate differences or fees applied by your bank or card issuer.

Timing. Once approved, we process refunds promptly; the time for the funds to appear depends on your payment provider and is typically a few business days to a few weeks.

How to request. Send refund requests to office@techverdi.ch with your account details and the reason. We aim to acknowledge within a reasonable time.

6

Billing errors & duplicate charges

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly — for example, a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, or a charge after a valid cancellation — please contact us within a reasonable time. We suggest contacting us within 30 days of the charge at office@techverdi.ch.

Once verified, we will correct the error and refund any amount overcharged.

7

Payment disputes & chargebacks

If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us first so we can resolve it directly. This is almost always faster than a bank dispute.

Chargebacks. Initiating a chargeback or payment reversal without first contacting us, or for a charge that is valid under these terms, may be treated as a breach. We may dispute unjustified chargebacks and may suspend or terminate the account pending resolution.

Overdue amounts. If Fees remain unpaid, including after a failed payment, we may suspend or downgrade the account after a reasonable grace period. Overdue amounts may bear default interest at the statutory rate under Art. 104 of the Swiss Code of Obligations, currently 5% per annum, and we may recover reasonable collection costs as permitted by law.

Resolution. We will work with you in good faith to resolve genuine disputes.

8

Swiss legal basis

This Policy is based on the following principles of Swiss law:

  • No general right of withdrawal. Unlike EU consumer law, Swiss law does not provide a general statutory “cooling-off” period or right of withdrawal for purchases made online or at a distance.
  • Limited right of revocation. The limited right of revocation under Art. 40a ff. of the Swiss Code of Obligations applies only to specific consumer situations, such as certain doorstep or telephone-solicited contracts, and does not apply to ordinary online B2B software subscriptions.
  • Freedom of contract. Refund and cancellation terms are governed primarily by the contract between us, as permitted under Art. 19–20 CO, subject to mandatory law.
  • Remedies for non-performance. Your statutory remedies for defective or non-performed services under the CO, Art. 97 ff., are not excluded.
  • Mandatory law prevails. Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot be excluded under mandatory Swiss law.
9

Taxes (VAT)

Where a refund is issued, any applicable Swiss Value Added Tax (VAT) or other taxes included in the original charge are adjusted accordingly. Refunds are calculated on the net amount actually paid.

We are not responsible for any tax consequences on your side arising from a refund.

10

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our plans, or the law. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date and, where changes are material, provide reasonable notice.

The Policy in force at the time of your charge applies to that charge.

11

Governing law & contact

This Refund Policy is governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

The competent courts of the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland — place of jurisdiction: Pully / Lausanne — have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory place of jurisdiction.
